We are currently accepting applications for the summer internship program at the Emotion, Health and Psychophysiology Lab at UC San Francisco under the direction of Wendy Berry Mendes. We offer an eight-week internship program (June 19 – August 12, 2017) for undergraduates who are interested in conducting research at the intersection of social psychology, emotion, psychophysiology, and neuroendocrinology. Interns are involved in conducting studies, acquiring autonomic and neuroendocrine data, editing and scoring physiological responses, and attending weekly tutorials and lab meetings. This internship is ideal for those students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in psychology or medicine. Most interns receive funding or course credit from their own university or outside sources (see SPSPs SPUR program), but there are a few stipends available.
If you are interested in applying to be a summer intern please email your resume/vita (or any questions) to EHPLSummerInternship@gmail.com by March 3rd. Selected interns will be notified by April 1st and stipend awardees will be notified soon after.
The Emotion, Health and Psychophysiology Lab is now accepting applications for volunteer research assistant positions starting in Late September. Research assistants working in the lab are exposed to a variety of studies at the intersection of social psychology, emotion, psychophysiology, and neuroendocrinology. RAs learn how to conduct studies, collect physiological data and edit and score autonomic data. Our RAs work at least 10 hours a week for a period of 5 months.
If you are interested in applying, please send your cover letter, resume/vita, and weekly availability to Belinda Carrillo at email@example.com
Former post-doctoral scholar, Dr. Muscatell, will be starting an Assistant Professor position at UNC Chapel Hill this summer. Congratulations Keely!
